Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang said that one of the biggest obstacles for consumers when shopping online is the fear of product quality. In addition, the problem of poor quality goods, counterfeit goods, and goods that infringe intellectual property rights is also a prominent reality in both e-commerce and traditional commerce.

Therefore, the organization of the E-commerce Week and Online Friday 2025 with the theme "Safety - Peace of Mind - Happiness" this year demonstrates the determination of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in accompanying e-commerce digital platforms, sellers and consumers to build a transparent e-commerce environment with rich positive experiences, promote the role of management agencies and enhance the responsibility of digital platforms/e-commerce platforms, sellers in building trust and protecting consumer rights.
Ms. Le Hoang Oanh, Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, said that with the theme of "Safety - Peace of mind - Happiness" of Online Friday 2025, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade aims to build a comprehensive connected ecosystem in the field of e-commerce.
One of the highlights of this year's Program is the Mega Livestream series "Safety - Peace of mind - Happiness". For the first time, the Organizing Committee directly conducted a large-scale Mega Live session, with visual and vivid demonstrations, providing detailed instructions to consumers on how to distinguish genuine and fake goods, and smart and safe shopping skills in the digital environment. This activity is expected to contribute to raising awareness, enhancing trust and protecting consumers in e-commerce transactions.
Online Friday 2025 gathers a large response from businesses, manufacturers, logistics units to digital infrastructure solution providers, creating a vibrant ecosystem for online shopping activities nationwide.

In particular, many Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities across the country have actively participated in spreading information, connecting local businesses and promoting response movements in each locality, contributing to creating a widespread influence for the program.
TikTok Shop and Deli – Strategic partners of the program for three consecutive years – continue to accompany the Ministry of Industry and Trade in promoting e-commerce development and spreading the movement of safe, reliable, and fun online shopping to consumers nationwide.
Ms. Nguyen Kieu Anh, Director of Deli Vietnam E-commerce shared, Online Friday is an important event for businesses to get closer to consumers, while bringing shoppers fun, secure online shopping experiences and many practical incentives. Mr. Phan Manh Ha, Director of External Relations of Shopee e-commerce platform, said that within the framework of Online Friday 2025, the platform has promoted many programs to improve user experience, including the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to suggest products more suitable to individual needs, along with interactive livestream feature to help buyers communicate directly with sellers, learn about product details before deciding to buy. In parallel with optimizing the experience, Shopee focuses on controlling the quality of goods and promotional information.
The platform enhances the system of identifying counterfeit and infringing products based on machine learning technology, and closely coordinates with genuine brands and authorities to strictly handle violating stalls, maximally protecting consumer rights. According to Shopee's representative, to ensure a seamless shopping experience during peak times, Shopee has also coordinated with major payment and logistics partners to speed up order processing and shorten delivery times.
