On May 12th, at the Dak Lak Museum grounds, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, in collaboration with the Korean Photographic Artists Delegation and the Dak Lak Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, organized the opening of a friendly exchange photo exhibition with the theme "Connecting Identities".
The exhibition presents to the public 100 selected photographic works. Of these, 60 works showcase modern South Korea, rich in cultural depth and magnificent natural landscapes; 40 works vividly depict the beauty of the vast forests of Dak Lak, with its distinctive cultural identity and the changes taking place in this developing region.
Alongside the photo exhibition, from May 8th to 13th, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, together with a delegation of Korean photographers, conducted a field trip to the provinces of Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak.
In his opening remarks, artist Ho Sy Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, stated that photography is the language of light, playing a role as a cultural bridge, helping the people of the two countries understand and draw closer together. The "Connecting Identity" photo exhibition is a meaningful activity in the series of cultural exchanges between photographers of the two countries, contributing to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and South Korea. Furthermore, this event marks the 5th anniversary of laying the foundation for exchanges between the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the Korean Photographers Association. This is the second time a Vietnam-Korea friendship photo exchange exhibition has been held in Vietnam. This event provides a unique artistic space; an opportunity for artists from both countries to exchange experiences, strengthen solidarity, and together strive towards humanistic creative values.
The photo exhibition will run until May 15th to serve local people and tourists visiting the Dak Lak Museum.
