Attending the program were Central Committee members: Nguyen Thi Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; and Tran Huy Tuan, Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee.
Ninh Binh Tourism Week has become an annual cultural and tourism event, deeply rooted in the unique identity of the ancient capital region. It is held at the most beautiful time of year, when the Tam Coc rice fields are in their golden ripening season. This has given rise to and spread the brand "The Golden Colors of Tam Coc-Trang An"—a unique symbol where the beauty of nature blends with the rhythm of human life, creating a vibrant picture amidst picturesque landscapes.

Activities such as the procession of agricultural products, the reenactment of agricultural life, and folk art performances are a continuation and development of traditional agricultural rituals, expressing gratitude to nature, ancestors, and agricultural deities. This also conveys a message of harmonious connection between humans and nature, the connection between different regions of the country, national unity, and the aspiration to preserve Vietnam's agricultural civilization for generations to come.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Tran Song Tung, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: The Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026 is an event of special significance, contributing to the realization of Resolution No. 07 dated January 30, 2026, of the Provincial Party Committee on the strategy for developing the cultural and tourism industry of Ninh Binh province until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
The goal is to develop Ninh Binh into a center for heritage, ecological, cultural, and religious tourism in Vietnam; and simultaneously, a center for organizing national and international events; linking the preservation of historical sites with the development of cultural and spiritual tourism, building a cultural industry, and making tourism a key economic sector. Through this, it aims to promote socio-economic development, improve the material and spiritual lives of the people, and strive to make Ninh Binh a centrally-governed city by 2030, characterized as a millennium heritage city.

At the opening ceremony, delegates and a large number of people and tourists enjoyed the spectacular art program "A Thousand-Year-Old Artwork," meticulously staged, rich in artistic merit and deeply rooted in national cultural identity. The program consisted of three parts: "The Legend of Tam Coc," "Exploration and Experience," and "Ninh Binh - A Destination of the World," vividly recreating the journey from its historical origins and natural beauty to the rhythm of life, work, and aspirations for integration and development of this heritage land.
The opening night concluded with a spectacular fireworks display, creating a vibrant, impressive, and emotional atmosphere.
Within the framework of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026, many unique cultural, artistic and tourism activities will take place, such as: the Tam Coc-Trang An Golden Festival, the Trang An Creative Music Festival, the Vietnam Yosakoi Festival 2026, the art photography exhibition "Beautiful Photos of Ninh Binh Tourism", performances of water puppetry, Cheo singing, Xam singing and folk songs from the three regions of Vietnam,...
This is an opportunity for visitors to experience more deeply the beauty of Ninh Binh's nature, culture, and people in the interplay between tradition and modernity, where heritage is continued through creativity and innovation. Through this, Ninh Binh's tourism brand will be further strengthened on the tourism map; gradually elevating the status of this ancient capital region to become a leading destination in Vietnam and the region.
