Opening of Tourism - Culture Week and Lai Chau Marathon

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee and representatives of departments and branches of Lai Chau province; delegates of ministries, central agencies and provinces and cities: Phu Tho, Dien Bien, Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City.

Also attending the ceremony was Mr. Trieu Vy - Director of the Department of Culture and Tourism. Red River region , Yunnan province, China and the working delegation.

The opening art program with the theme “Magnificent Lai Chau – Brilliant Colors” had the participation of nearly 350 professional actors, extras, and artisans. The program consisted of 3 chapters: Lai Chau – Legendary Land; Lai Chau – Symphony of Colors; Lai Chau – Aspiration to Reach Far.

The program with unique performances took visitors on a journey "back to the majestic Lai Chau peaks" to immerse themselves in the unique cultural space of 20 ethnic groups; listening to the sound of the flute echoing in the sky, watching the graceful dances like a clear stream and feeling the vibrant life of Lai Chau. All of this created a brilliant picture - a festival imbued with identity, rich in emotions, and full of pride for the land in the far west of the Fatherland.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tong Thanh Hai - Permanent Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee emphasized: With the potential and advantages of natural landscape and cultural identity, Lai Chau is making efforts to preserve and reasonably exploit historical and cultural values and natural resources; improve the investment environment, call for and attract domestic and foreign corporations and enterprises to survey and invest in tourism development in the province.

The event of the 2nd Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week and Marathon in 2025 is not only an activity to promote the potential strengths and typical tourism products of Lai Chau to domestic and international tourists, but also a bridge to expand links and cooperation in tourism development with domestic and international provinces and cities; creating opportunities for travel businesses to learn, expand markets, and build tours to Lai Chau.

Lai Chau province has identified tourism as a key economic sector, playing an important role in the service sector and creating sustainable livelihoods for the people. Since then, Lai Chau has constantly strived to awaken its potential, promote its internal strength, and gradually create tourism products with its own unique mark.

Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2025 with a series of activities: opening art program; Vietnam - China art exchange program; exhibition space, introducing the culture of 13 ethnic groups residing in the community; 2nd Lai Chau Provincial Marathon, cultural exchange of ethnic groups... promises to bring many interesting experiences to tourists.
