(HNMO) - On the evening of June 1, at Big C Thang Long Commercial Center (Cau Giay District), the opening ceremony of "Plum and Safe Agricultural Products Week of Son La Province and Other Provinces and Cities in 2023" took place, organized by the Son La Provincial Investment Promotion Center in coordination with Central Retail Group.
The event attracted the participation of 30 booths displaying and introducing OCOP products (One Commune One Product Program), safe and typical agricultural products with strengths of Son La province such as: Plum, mango, tea, longan, avocado, custard apple, dragon fruit, jackfruit, guava, vegetables and processed products such as: Tea, coffee, dried fruit, vermicelli... This is an opportunity for people in Hanoi to experience and enjoy specialty products that meet VietGAP, globalGAP, OCOP, Organic food safety standards of Son La province.
At the opening ceremony, the signing ceremony of the agricultural product consumption agreement between Central Retail Vietnam Group and Son La province and other provinces and cities took place.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee said: "The Plum and Safe Agricultural Products Week of Son La province and other provinces and cities in 2023 is an important event, a good opportunity to bring the province's agricultural products and safe food to the capital market and provinces and cities across the country, thereby connecting with domestic and export markets; creating breakthroughs in production organization, improving product quality, building brands, promoting agricultural product consumption, improving people's income and life".
Currently, Son La province has nearly 85,000 hectares of fruit trees, with an estimated fruit harvest in 2023 of 452,000 tons; 281 growing area codes have been granted with a total area of 4,600 hectares for export to markets such as Australia, New Zealand, the US, China, the EU and some other markets. The whole province currently has 110 OCOP products; 24 agricultural products have been granted protection certificates; 4 high-tech agricultural areas have been recognized. In 2023, the number of fruit products participating in export is expected to reach over 18,700 tons...
