The launch of the Digital Education Portal is considered a crucial step in the comprehensive digital transformation roadmap of Nghe An's education sector, aiming to build a smart, modern, interconnected, and synchronized ecosystem for management, teaching, and learning throughout the province.
Speaking at the event, the leader of the Nghe An Provincial Department of Education and Training emphasized that the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation are becoming decisive factors in competitiveness and development. In recent times, the Nghe An education sector has proactively implemented the policies and resolutions of the Central Government and the province on digital transformation, gradually building a centralized data platform to serve management, administration, and teaching and learning.
Accordingly, the Nghe An Digital Education Portal is being built as a "digital center" for the entire sector, connecting seamlessly with the Education Operations Center (IOC) and the vnEdu digital education ecosystem. This is identified as the core infrastructure, playing a fundamental role in the comprehensive digital transformation strategy of the Nghe An education sector.
The system currently integrates more than 36 business subsystems with over 500 specialized features, comprehensively serving management, administration, and teaching. Many utilities are integrated into the platform, such as work management, emulation and reward systems, facility management, diplomas and certificates, digital student records, online enrollment, online learning, and electronic communication logs… This forms a centralized, unified, and synchronized data ecosystem throughout the province's education sector.
According to Nguyen Van Khoa, Director of the Department of Education and Training, for the system to be truly effective, educational institutions and their staff and teachers need to proactively access and master the technology; seriously implement the digitization and updating of data, ensuring the principles of "Accurate - Complete - Clean - Live".
Furthermore, specialized units must closely monitor the situation at the grassroots level, providing timely support and resolving difficulties during implementation; ensuring that technology does not become a barrier or create pressure on teaching and learning activities.
Nghe An's education sector also aims to continue improving open protocols to integrate artificial intelligence (AI), build an early warning system, and personalize learning paths for students in the future.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Van Thanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the education sector in pioneering digital transformation. He also affirmed that, with a determination to innovate, the support of all levels and sectors, and the teaching staff, Nghe An's education system will experience strong development in a smart education environment.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that digital transformation be substantive, focusing on the effectiveness of serving learners and teachers; input data must be accurate to serve analysis, management, and policy planning. The ultimate goal is to reduce administrative burdens, create conditions for teachers to focus on their professional work, and thereby improve the overall quality of education.
The Nghe An Digital Education Portal, operated at https://giaoducso.nghean.gov.vn, aims to build a comprehensive digital education system by 2030, where technology becomes the driving force for innovation and improving the quality of education in the province.
