On the morning of December 7, at Ho Dac Kien commune, Can Tho city, the Veterans Association of Can Tho city coordinated with the Veterans Association of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy to organize medical examinations, health consultations, and free medicine for policy families, people with meritorious services to the revolution, Veterans Association members, and households in difficult circumstances in the commune.

The medical team examined, consulted, and provided medicine to about 350 policy beneficiaries, people with revolutionary contributions, elderly war veterans, poor workers, and disadvantaged households.
In addition to clinical examination, the medical team and doctors also provide nutritional advice, instructions on preventing common diseases, and screening for chronic diseases such as stroke, high blood pressure, ear, nose, throat, eye, cardiovascular and rheumatic diseases.

According to the leader of the Association of War Veterans in Can Tho City, this is an opportunity for the young medical staff of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy to demonstrate their pioneering spirit and responsibility towards the community, promoting the role of the Association of War Veterans in mobilizing social resources to participate in caring for the disadvantaged. Thereby, demonstrating the morality of "remembering the source of drinking water", the care and responsibility of the Association of War Veterans in the city towards policy families and the people of Ho Dac Kien commune.
