FPT Play said that after an active negotiation process, FPT Play has become the only domestic unit that owns the broadcasting and communication rights of this tournament on infrastructures including terrestrial, cable, satellite, IPTV, Internet, mobile, public screening and exploitation on social networks... in the period from June 15 to July 14.
FPT Play informed that at the FIFA Club World Cup, this unit will make many new improvements to enhance the customer experience. FPT Play will integrate the Live Chat feature when broadcasting live to enhance interaction and the feeling of authenticity when enjoying.
In terms of content, FPT Play produces quality talk shows and accompanying news throughout the tournament such as Stage of Champions, VAR Touch, FIFA Club World Cup Diary and exploits the magazine program series The Hype Series... to provide multi-dimensional perspectives for the audience.
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will be held for the first time in a completely new format. The tournament will take place one year before the FIFA World Cup, with the cycle changing from annual to four-yearly. At the same time, the number of participating clubs will also increase from 7 to 32, bringing together the most successful clubs from 6 regional football confederations: AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa), CONCACAF (North, Central America and the Caribbean), CONMEBOL (South America), OFC (Oceania) and UEFA (Europe).
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be held in the United States - one of three host countries of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The tournament will have a total of 63 matches. The opening match is scheduled to take place on June 14 at Hard Rock Stadium - Miami; the final is scheduled to take place on July 13 at MetLife Stadium - New York (US time).
Except for the host club Inter Miami, the remaining 31 clubs are all continental champions in the last four years or have high rankings in the same period. The teams are divided into 8 groups in a round-robin format.
The top two teams in each group will advance to the knockout stages from the round of 16 to the final to find the overall winning club. The total prize value of the tournament is up to 1 billion USD.
