The activity was organized by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with Con Dao Special Zone and People's Army Cinema, aiming to spread historical and humanistic values through cinema.

As soon as they entered the theater, many people were moved to tears when they saw the special row of seats arranged in front of the audience area – where only bandanas and bucket hats were placed, to commemorate the heroic martyrs. That solemnity and sacredness made many people moved even before the movie started.

Throughout the screening, especially when the film reached its climax with the fierce battle scenes at Quang Tri Citadel , the atmosphere in the auditorium became silent. Many people silently wiped away their tears, clutched the scarves they brought with them, or covered their faces with their hands because they were so moved.
An audience member shared: “This is the first time I have felt so clearly the fierceness and bravery of the soldiers of Quang Tri Citadel. Each scene is like a reminder to appreciate more the sacrifices of previous generations.”

According to the organizers, “Red Rain” will be shown three times on November 14 at 9:00, 15:00 and 19:00 to serve the people and tourists in Con Dao. On November 15, the film will continue to be shown two times at 15:00 and 19:00. After the screening on the evening of November 15, the audience will also have the opportunity to interact with director Bui Thac Chuyen.

The leader of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said that bringing high-quality cinema works to the community is an effort to spread historical values, contributing to the development of Ho Chi Minh City cinema in the direction of a creative city in the field of cinema of UNESCO.
