Implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, Khanh Hoa province is synchronously deploying many breakthrough solutions to achieve the goal of the digital economy contributing about 35% of GRDP by 2030, striving to be among the top 10 provinces and cities in the country in digital transformation (DTI).
Digital transformation spreads
Tourism, one of the economic pillars of Khanh Hoa province, is identified as a priority area for digital transformation.
Accordingly, the province has introduced smart tourism applications, digital maps, real-time tourist booking and management systems, contributing to improving tourist experience, regulating traffic and improving service quality.
In particular, developing digital tourism content and digitizing cultural heritages helps promote Khanh Hoa's image more effectively on online channels, expanding domestic and international markets.
Mr. Tran Duc Ha, Director of the Center for Cultural Heritage Conservation of Khanh Hoa province, said that Khanh Hoa is pioneering the application of technology to promote heritage and improve tourist experience.
Currently, the unit's information portal and interactive digital map allow visitors to listen to bilingual automatic commentary on 16 national and special national relics. At many relic sites, QR codes are attached to help visitors easily access information using smartphones.
Notably, VR360 virtual reality technology applied at the Po Nagar Tower National Special Monument brings a vivid experience, allowing "travel" through space and time.
Khanh Hoa aims to digitize 100% of registered cultural heritage by 2030, from tangible and intangible heritage to national relics, artifacts and treasures, creating favorable conditions for people and tourists to easily access on digital platforms.
To facilitate people's easy access to medical information and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for the people, Khanh Hoa province is promoting the application of information technology and digital technology in most activities and services of the health sector.
At Ninh Thuan General Hospital (Ninh Chu ward), the application of information technology and digital transformation in management, operation and medical examination and treatment is being promoted, contributing to improving the quality of medical services and serving people better and better.
Master, Specialist II Doctor Le Huy Thach, Director of Ninh Thuan General Hospital Le Huy Thach said that digital transformation is not just about applying technology, but also a profound change in management thinking, expertise and service style.
The unit has deployed core systems such as: hospital management information system (HIS), electronic medical records (EMR), cashless prescription and payment, and online appointment booking.
Thereby, helping to shorten waiting time, make the process transparent and reduce the load on the reception department. People can proactively make appointments, view prescriptions and look up treatment history.
The hospital has connected the medical picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and laboratory information system (LIS), allowing doctors to access results quickly, supporting accurate diagnosis and timely treatment.
Many new technology applications for remote medical examination and treatment have been deployed to help hospitals coordinate consultations with central medical facilities, improve professional capacity and reduce referrals for patients. At the same time, digital skills training for medical staff is focused on, creating a solid foundation for the digital transformation of healthcare.

New strategic development orientation
Khanh Hoa is focusing on implementing a comprehensive digital transformation program across the province, covering 65 communes, wards and special zones to improve competitiveness, promote the digital economy and serve the people.
The province strives to have the digital economy contribute about 35% of GRDP by 2030 and strives to be among the top 10 localities in the country in digital transformation (DTI). This is one of the strategic orientations in the 2025-2030 period, combining the goal of socio-economic development with the modernization of state administration and innovation.
Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, said that digital transformation is being synchronously deployed by the province on many pillars including: building digital government; digital economy; digital society; digital infrastructure and network safety and security.
At the State management level, the province focuses on digitizing public administrative processes, expanding the provision of high-level online public services, deploying the E-Office electronic document management system, integrating a set of tools to measure and evaluate work results (KPI) to help shorten the time to process procedures for businesses and people; at the same time, connecting data between departments, branches and localities to improve management efficiency and operational transparency.
At the same time, Khanh Hoa is also promoting the development of digital infrastructure and modern data infrastructure, considering this an important foundation for comprehensive digital transformation and digital economic development.
The province prioritizes investment in broadband networks, cloud computing infrastructure and local data centers, creating conditions for digital services to operate stably, while building smart cities as a driving force for rapid and sustainable growth.
In the economic field, the province encourages businesses in the fields of tourism, logistics, and agriculture to apply e-commerce, big data, and artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize operations, expand markets, and improve productivity.
Along with that, the province promotes the technology startup ecosystem, innovation incubators, and venture capital funds, aiming to form a dynamic digital environment and attract high-quality human resources.
In particular, strategic technologies such as ocean technology, aquaculture, biotechnology, artificial intelligence and renewable energy are considered key development directions, contributing to improving competitiveness and sustainable development.
The leader of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that at the end of October, the province launched a peak campaign to bring in the Digital Transformation Support Team with the participation of 162 lecturers and students in the fields of information technology, software technology, data science, telecommunications, and network administration from universities, colleges, and academies in the province.
This force will help localities support people and businesses in carrying out public administrative procedures online; ensure network information security and standardize data according to the instructions of departments and branches. This is considered an innovative step, contributing to spreading the spirit of innovation and accelerating the digitalization process throughout the province.
Currently, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Science and Technology to urgently coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to prepare for the organization of the Khanh Hoa Digital Technology Festival 2025 taking place from November 18 to 19 with many programs and activities to introduce and widely promote information technology solutions, digital technology, and digital transformation to the community and businesses in the area.
Comprehensive digital transformation is expected by Khanh Hoa province not only to improve the efficiency of State management, increase business competitiveness, but also improve the quality of life for people.
Resolute and synchronous steps in implementation will be the key for the province to maximize benefits from the fourth industrial revolution, towards green, sustainable development and deep integration in the era of national growth./.
