Khanh Hoa auctions "golden land" of more than 3,600m² in the center of Nha Trang

The land plot at 48-48A Tran Phu, Nha Trang ward, opposite April 2 Square, will be auctioned by Khanh Hoa province for land use rights to implement a high-end tourism and commercial complex project.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just approved the plan to auction the right to use this land, with an area of ​​over 3,640m², belonging to the rare remaining land fund on the coastal road in the city center. The land has two frontages, adjacent to Tran Phu and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai streets - considered the most prime location on the central coastal axis of Nha Trang today.

According to the plan, the land will be leased for a period of 50 years, with a one-time payment, with a starting price of more than 1,180 billion VND. The auction winner will have to buy back all assets attached to the land currently worth more than 13.3 billion VND, including concrete pile foundations, guardhouse, fence and old guest house of the Customs agency.

The auction is expected to be held in the fourth quarter of 2025 or early 2026.

More than 15 years ago, the province assigned this land to a business to invest in a luxury hotel and resort apartment project. However, due to violations of land management regulations, the project was revoked, the land was abandoned for many years, overgrown with grass, the construction was degraded, causing serious waste.

According to the plan, the winning investor will implement the project of a high-end commercial and tourism service complex, including a hotel, restaurant, resort, spa, swimming pool, gym, conference room and tourism product display area. The total minimum investment capital is more than 1,180 billion VND, all from non-budgetary sources.

The project must be completed within 4 years from the date of land lease. In the first year, the investor must contribute enough capital as prescribed. In case of delay and no adjustment is approved, the project may be revoked or terminated according to the law.
