Khanh Hoa creates jobs for tens of thousands of workers thanks to attracting investment

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that the province's industrial production index in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 6.1% over the same period last year. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry continued to play a key role with an increase of 7.68%; the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 3.68%; the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry increased by 6.52%; the mining industry alone recorded the highest growth rate, reaching 10.72%.

Technical workforce plays an important role in realizing the province's industrial growth goals.

However, the overall growth rate remained modest as electricity production in the first quarter increased by only 4% over the same period. Notably, in March 2025, electricity output from Sumitomo Thermal Power Plant was estimated to decrease by 11.9%, affecting the production index of the whole industry.

In the group of major industrial products, many items recorded positive signals such as: frozen seafood increased by 7.6%; bird's nest drink increased by 7.9%. On the contrary, some items decreased in output such as sugar of all kinds, down 4.1%.

In addition, by the end of the first quarter of 2025, the province currently has 2 industrial parks with a total area of ​​344.6 hectares in operation. The occupancy rate reached about 72%, attracting 88 investment projects with a total registered capital of approximately 12,887 million USD, creating jobs for 13,654 workers.

Along with that, 6 industrial clusters are operating stably with a total area of ​​218 hectares, the occupancy rate is about 91%, attracting 86 investment projects with a total registered capital of about 170 million USD, contributing to creating jobs for about 4,440 local workers. In addition, there is 1 industrial park that has been approved by the Prime Minister for investment and construction (Doc Da Trang Industrial Park).

Maintaining industrial growth and ensuring stable employment for the people are positive signals, creating a foundation for Khanh Hoa province's manufacturing industries to continue to make breakthroughs in the coming time.
