Khanh Hoa supports additional money to buy uniforms for students in flood-affected areas

On November 26, Mr. Bui Hoai Nam, Chief of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Office, signed and issued Document No. 312-CV/TU, responding to the proposal of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province on allocating the province's relief fund to support students in buying uniforms after the flood.

According to this document, the Standing Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee has agreed on the policy of supporting the purchase of uniforms for 47,449 students from households affected by floods.

Each student will receive 300,000 VND to buy two sets of uniforms, with a total cost of more than 14.2 billion VND. This support is applied to students from primary to high school studying at schools in Khanh Hoa province.

Previously, in Decision No. 2196/QD-UBND dated November 23 of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, the first phase of nearly 302 billion VND was added to support people in 49 communes and wards to overcome the consequences of flood damage. Accordingly, households affected by floods whose houses completely collapsed were supported with 60 million VND, damaged houses needing repair with 30 million VND, each person in the affected households was supported with 1 million VND, each student from primary to high school level in households whose houses were flooded was supported with 500,000 VND.

With the above two amounts, each student from primary to high school level in households whose houses were flooded in Khanh Hoa will be supported with 800,000 VND to buy uniforms, books, and school supplies.

It is known that after the flood, the police and military forces mobilized maximum human resources and means to support the people of Khanh Hoa province in particular and the South Central region in general to overcome the consequences of the flood. Priority was given to dredging, clearing mud, cleaning schoolyards, classrooms and desks at schools so that students could return to school soon after the temporary break due to natural disasters and floods.
