The appearance of ethnic minority and mountainous areas has improved.

In recent years, from the resources of the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, Project 8 on gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children; and the Project on Supporting Women in Starting a Business for the 2017-2025 period (Project 939), the economic picture of households in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Khanh Hoa province has changed significantly.

The story of the Raglai people in Tay Nam village, Khanh Vinh commune is typical. Previously, hunger and poverty haunted Ms. Cao Thi Lanh's family due to lack of land for production. In July 2023, she received support from the Commune Women's Union to borrow 20 million VND to buy a breeding cow. After a period of care, the mother cow gave birth to a calf, bringing great hope to the family. Not relying on the loan, the couple also actively worked for hire to earn extra income. From a poor household in the locality, thanks to diligence, hard work and support from the State and the community, up to now, the couple has built a spacious house, stabilized their lives, and has the conditions to take care of their children's education.

Or Ms. Cao Thi Ri Tien was also supported by the Commune Women's Union to borrow 50 million VND to buy cows for raising. Up to now, the herd of cows has increased from 2 cows at first to 10 cows. Her family has paid off all bank debt and escaped poverty, building a spacious level 4 house. In addition to loan support, the Women's Union at all levels in the commune also raises piggy banks to have a fund to give means of livelihood to members in difficult circumstances. The women also practice exchanging labor and deploying revolving capital contributions to support each other in developing production...

Ms. Dinh Thi Tuong, Head of the Women's Union of Tay Nam village, said that in recent years, women members in the village have participated in many training courses and consultations on cultivation techniques... Thereby, helping many women, especially ethnic minority women, gain new techniques and good experiences in plant care, contributing to the development of the family economy. Many women, thanks to the support of the local government and Women's Union, have changed their thinking and working methods, boldly borrowed capital for production, learned techniques to develop the economy. Thereby, writing a story of starting a business, confidently taking control of their lives and taking good care of their families.

Synchronous and effective deployment

Through the synchronous implementation of support programs and appropriate economic models, many female members have had remarkable changes in awareness and production skills. Thereby, many fruit tree planting and livestock raising models have been replicated; many members have risen out of poverty.

According to the report of the Women's Union of Khanh Hoa province, in recent years, units have proactively registered to help 100% of poor women's households with the ability to escape poverty and near-poor women's households through movements such as: "Women help each other develop family economy", "Savings day for poor women", "Help poor women have an address", "Giving means of livelihood", "5 well-off members help 1 poor member"... This is a concrete action from the resources of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021 - 2025, implementing the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind"...

Strengthen training courses on digital transformation

Vice President of Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Hoang Van Ha said that with the attention of the Party and State, the unions at all levels are contributing to enhancing the internal strength of members, women, potentials and strengths of each locality and in accordance with practical needs, contributing to supporting women in developing a sustainable economy and striving to become rich legitimately.

In the coming time, along with the trend of digital transformation and technology development, in addition to the program to support women in starting a business and doing business, it is necessary to provide new knowledge and training skills on applied technology for women. Specifically, increasing training activities, forums on digital technology , markets, fairs, women's startup competitions, startup product idea competitions... to help members and women increasingly improve their capacity, realize ideas into startup products. At the same time, applying technology in production, introducing and consuming products brings high efficiency...
