On the same day, heavy rain occurred in Lam Son commune. On Song Pha pass, landslides from the slopes spilled onto the road. At that time, many people and vehicles were passing through the area.
Upon receiving the news, the commune authorities promptly sent forces to the scene to set up checkpoints, temporarily banning traffic to ensure safety, and carry out cleanup work.

Song Pha Pass, also known as Ngoan Muc Pass, connects Da Lat with Phan Rang. This winding road passes through rugged mountainous terrain, with many high slopes and a risk of landslides during the rainy season.
In mid-November 2025, the pass suffered serious landslides at many slope locations, and the authorities had to temporarily close it to ensure people's safety. Up to now, landslides continue to recur, posing a very high risk of insecurity.
