Today, Khanh Hoa province is larger, covering an area of ​​over 8,555 square kilometers, and its development is built upon the synergy of diverse values. While northern Khanh Hoa boasts strengths in tourism, services, and port logistics, with Van Phong Bay, Cam Ranh Bay, and Nha Trang Bay, the southern part of the province is characterized by renewable energy and high-tech agriculture, unique to this region. The vision of becoming a centrally-governed city by 2030 is no longer a distant goal, but is being realized with tangible results. State budget revenue in 2025 is projected to reach VND 38,926 billion, exceeding the central government's target by 39.1% and increasing by 53.6% compared to 2024; of which revenue from import and export activities reached VND 1,914 billion, exceeding the target by 70.6% and increasing by 69.4% compared to the same period; domestic revenue reached VND 37,012 billion, exceeding the target by 46.5% and increasing by 63.9% compared to the same period. This is the resource needed to nurture strategic infrastructure projects, from radial expressways to smart coastal urban systems.

Comrade Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - once affirmed that the merger was not simply about mechanically increasing scale, but about awakening dormant resources, eliminating spatial divisions and parochial thinking. In this new space, every inch of land, every wave is planned with a long-term vision until 2050, where the advantages of one locality will be a leverage for another, creating a continuous and sustainable value chain. With this new development space, the next decade will be the decade in which Khanh Hoa achieves continuous double-digit growth.

Four strategic pillars - a commitment to a "green" future.

To propel Khanh Hoa to new heights, the province has clearly identified four pillars as its springboard: industry, energy, tourism and services, and construction and urban development. These are not separate sectors, but rather interwoven threads creating a synergistic force. In the north, Van Phong, after years of waiting, has truly awakened. More than just a seaport, this area is now a destination for high-tech industries, semiconductors, and machinery manufacturing, along with world-class urban development projects. The arrival of large corporations like Sun Group and HD Hyundai Mipo not only generates millions of dollars in revenue but also creates tens of thousands of high-quality jobs, accelerating the shift in the labor structure from agriculture to modern industry.

Meanwhile, the energy pillar in the southern part of the province is making Khanh Hoa a green symbol of the country. With the combination of wind power, solar power, and LNG power, the province is not only energy self-sufficient but also making a significant contribution to national energy security. In particular, the trend of developing green hydrogen is opening a new chapter for heavy industry, helping Khanh Hoa to soon achieve its Net Zero goal and affirm the "Green Khanh Hoa" brand on the international stage. Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: "Industry and energy are identified as the main pillars to create strong impetus for growth. Large-scale industrial and renewable energy projects in the southern part of the province are the main driving force to create added value and make a significant contribution to GRDP. In particular, the Ninh Thuan nuclear power projects will become key national projects, strategic for the country's energy sources."

In this new development space, tourism and services continue to play a key role in driving growth. Khanh Hoa's tourism map now extends beyond Nha Trang, reaching the picturesque Vinh Hy Bay, the vast vineyards, and the majestic mountains and forests of Khanh Son and Bac Ai districts. A multi-experience tourism ecosystem, encompassing high-end resorts, MICE tourism, and eco-tourism combining forests and seas, is emerging, attracting high-spending international tourists. The strategic cooperation agreement between Khanh Hoa and Vietnam Airlines for the period 2026-2030 is a gateway to Khanh Hoa, bringing the world closer and expanding the Khanh Hoa brand globally.
