On November 13, Comrade Nguyen Hong Hai, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, inspected the field work of preparations for the inauguration ceremony of the Phan Thiet Military Airport Construction Investment Project scheduled for December 19, 2025, a project to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Phan Thiet military airport construction investment project (Mui Ne ward) has a total investment of more than 7,900 billion VND, building a military airport with a runway, signal light system, and navigation station for shared use for military and civilian activities.

In addition, the project also builds barracks to ensure the operations of two air force regiments.

Reporting on the project progress, the representative of the Air Defense - Air Force said that up to now, the main items of the project have been basically completed. Currently, the units continue to carry out the work of site clearance, relocation of the 220 kV high voltage power line, handling the leveling area to ensure clearance at the 21st end, and other contents related to airport security and safety.

At the inspection session, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, requested that the Air Defense - Air Force develop a detailed plan to coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee Office, departments, branches and localities to synchronously deploy tasks.

In addition, relevant agencies and units coordinate to promptly resolve recommendations of the Air Defense - Air Force, ensuring the progress and technical requirements of the project.
