Survey and connect cooperation to develop tourism market with provinces of Laos and Thailand on Highway 8 and Highway 12 in 2024.

From June 17 to 21, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a survey and connection to cooperate in developing the tourism market with the provinces of Laos and Thailand on Highway 8 and Highway 12 in 2024.

The survey aims to: Study and survey tourist destinations in the Lao border provinces, the capital of Vientiane, Laos, the northeastern provinces of Thailand and some tourist destinations that can be connected with Ha Tinh tourism in Laos and Thailand. Promote and introduce the tourism potential and strengths of Ha Tinh to tourism service businesses in Laos and Thailand, while strengthening the tourism development cooperation relationship between Ha Tinh and Laos and Thailand through Cau Treo border gate. Create conditions for businesses in the province to survey new tourism routes, expand cooperation and seek partners to effectively exploit the tourism markets in Laos and Thailand. Exchange related contents in the work of building tourism products, promoting and advertising tourism. Create opportunities and act as a bridge for Ha Tinh tourism businesses to sign, contact and introduce their units to businesses, travel agencies and tourism services in Laos and Thailand.

Within the framework of the survey trip, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh coordinated with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Khonkaen province to organize a conference to introduce Ha Tinh tourism and connect tours and tourist routes of Ha Tinh with the provinces of Laos and Thailand. At the conference, delegates of the parties discussed solutions to promote cooperation in tourism development between Ha Tinh and the northeastern provinces of Thailand. The Ha Tinh Tourism Association and representatives of tourism associations of 7 provinces in the northeastern region of Thailand including: Nakhonphanom, Mukdahan, SakonnaKhon, Bung Can, Nongkhai, Udonthani, Khonkaen signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in developing the tourism market of Ha Tinh with the Lao-Thai provinces on routes 8 and 12. The contents include: Organizing tourism businesses of both sides to survey tours and routes in Ha Tinh, Vietnam and the provinces of Thailand; connecting travel businesses to organize tourist groups to Ha Tinh and vice versa; committed to preferential policies and stimulus for travel agencies in Ha Tinh and neighboring provinces when bringing tourists to both sides; increased promotion of tours on routes 8 and 12 for Vietnamese and Thai tourists. Also at the conference, Ha Tinh Tourism Association signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to connect tourism routes with the Tourism Association of 7 northeastern provinces of Thailand...

In addition, the delegation also conducted a survey of tourism on the road through Cau Treo international border gate, Ha Tinh (Route 8) and Chalo international border gate, Quang Binh (Route 12) to Nam Phao international border gate (Bo Ly Kham Xay) and Na Phuu international border gate (Kham Muon); and connected tourism to some destinations in Laos and Thailand such as: cultural heritage destinations along the Mekong River, Vientiane, Laos - China high-speed train station, Luang Prabang ancient capital, Lao National Museum, some destinations in Udonthani, Khonken, Pattaya provinces (Thailand) ...
