On August 6, the survey delegation of the Provincial People's Council's Ethnic Committee worked with the People's Committee of Thach An district on the implementation of policies on training, fostering, and arranging ethnic minority cadres and civil servants in the period of 2016 - 2023; criteria for selecting and recognizing prestigious people and policies for prestigious people among ethnic minorities in Cao Bang province.

In Thach An district, the structure of ethnic minority cadres and civil servants in the total number of cadres and civil servants in the district in 2023 increased by 0.9% compared to the beginning of the period, accounting for 97.05%. In the period of 2016 - 2023, the total number of ethnic minority cadres, civil servants and public employees planned is 494 people, of which 99.8% are in the planning for the 2020 - 2025 term. The whole district has 95 prestigious people among ethnic minorities, 1 village elder. Every year, the district organizes 2 conferences to provide current information; train and foster knowledge of law, national defense - security, mediation skills, security and order for prestigious people; organize delegations to give gifts to over 790 prestigious people on holidays, New Year, illness, and disease; provide more than 5,500 newspapers and magazines.
Concluding the working session, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council's Ethnic Committee requested the district to regularly direct relevant departments and offices to pay attention to implementing policies and regimes well, ensuring that they are correct, sufficient, and timely delivered to prestigious people. In particular, it is necessary to continue to encourage and promote the active role of prestigious people in grasping and reflecting the political security situation, social order, and participating in mediation work at the grassroots level, contributing to promptly resolving conflicts and incidents that arise in the locality.
