Physical pain and medical expenses are not small.

On the morning of November 9, 2025, on the way home from the old Nam Dan area, a traffic accident suddenly happened, turning Hoai from a hopeful female student into a patient in extreme pain.

Hoai received emergency first aid and was taken to Nghe An 115 Hospital. The X-ray results shocked his family: Hoai had a three-part femur fracture - a complex injury that required meticulous surgery and a long recovery time.

At the same time, a front tooth was broken and two other teeth were loose, greatly affecting her daily life and mental state. That same afternoon, doctors performed emergency surgery.

However, with a complicated injury, according to information from Hoai's family, the initial cost of surgery and especially the cost of post-operative treatment and long-term physical therapy is expected to reach tens, even hundreds of millions of dong, completely beyond the family's ability to pay...

The will to overcome adversity

If physical trauma is the immediate pain, then family circumstances are the tragedy that has lasted throughout Hoai's childhood. She lost both her parents at a young age, and her life depends on her aunt - Mrs. Nguyen Thi Vinh. 10 years ago, her uncle - her aunt's husband also passed away, leaving her aunt alone to take care of, raise and take care of Hoai's education. Her aunt is not only a relative but also the only pillar, the greatest spiritual support for Hoai.

Overcoming all hardships, Hoai has proven her extraordinary determination through her studies. She has always been a diligent and good student at school. Her aunt's greatest pride is when Hoai passed the university entrance exam with a total of more than 27 points for the three subjects Literature - History - Geography, opening up an opportunity for her to change her life and repay her hard-working aunt.

However, due to her difficult circumstances, Hoai was not able to enroll in school on time. The 18-year-old girl had to put her university dream on hold, and now it is in danger of being shattered forever.

Ms. Tran Thi Lan Anh - a teacher who used to teach Hoai at Nguyen Si Sach High School sadly shared: " Hoai is very obedient, gentle, always helps others, is trusted and loved by friends, is an example of perseverance. She studies well and passed the entrance exam to the Faculty of Educational Psychology, Vinh University. Passing the university entrance exam is the pride of the school, however, due to family circumstances, she stopped studying to work to make ends meet. I was very sad when I heard that she had an accident. When the accident happened, she was very scared, cried and called me for help.

Tragedy piled up

The most heartbreaking thing is that the accident happened at the same time that Hoai's aunt - Hoai's last support - was also suffering from the torment of illness. Currently, Hoai's aunt is also suffering from a serious illness, requiring long-term treatment in the hospital. The two only relatives who depended on each other are now lying on the hospital bed, with no one healthy enough or able to earn money to cover the expenses.

The burden of medical expenses for Hoai's femur surgery and treatment, plus the cost of treating her aunt, has pushed this small family into a state of complete bankruptcy and stalemate.

Mr. Nguyen Thu Kiem - Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of Trung Long Hamlet, Xuan Lam Commune said: "The family situation of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Vinh is already difficult, mainly relying on farming for income. Mrs. Vinh has been sick for many years and often has to be hospitalized for treatment. Now, Nguyen Thi Hoai has had a traffic accident, adding to the difficulties. I hope that benefactors will join hands to help Mrs. Vinh's family and Hoai overcome their difficulties soon...".

Nguyen Thi Hoai is an example of perseverance in overcoming difficult circumstances. She tried her best to reach the university door, but fate was too cruel. Now, only the community's cooperation can help her overcome this disaster, regain her health, the ability to walk and continue to nurture her unfinished desire to study.
