When love for the Fatherland spreads through every frame

In an era where the box office is often bustling with action blockbusters, horror films or international animations, the fact that a purely Vietnamese concert film - “To quoc trong tim: The Concert Film” - created an “emotional miracle” in many theaters is a rare phenomenon.

After more than 10 days of release, the film recorded a revenue of about 2 billion VND and all profits were sent to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support people in flood-hit areas. But what attracted the most attention was not the revenue story or fundraising story, but the strange, emotional atmosphere spreading in the theaters.

In Hanoi , the largest screening room of the National Cinema Center was constantly full. In Ho Chi Minh City, the Su Van Hanh cinema complex had to open additional screenings. The audience turned on flashlights and sang “Tien Quan Ca” together, many with tears in their eyes. It was a rare sight: the cinema transformed into a “national auditorium”, where young audiences, the elderly, and even children sang together in emotion and pride.

The film's influence comes from its sincerity and community-oriented spirit. Director Dang Le Minh Tri once said: "I cannot bring the Fatherland to the screen, I can only open up a space for each person to find their own Fatherland." It is that "space" that makes "Fatherland in the Heart" go beyond the boundaries of a normal concert film. 120 minutes of film, of which 90 minutes recreate the magnificent concert night at My Dinh Stadium with more than 50,000 spectators last August, and 30 minutes are emotional behind-the-scenes - the journey of thousands of people behind the stage lights. Each frame, each musical note is like a piece of patriotism, faith and connection.

Many audiences shared on social networks that there are few works that make them sit down, listen, sing and cry together. “The Fatherland in My Heart: The Concert Film” has done that - not with special effects, not with movie stars, but with real emotions and humane messages. The red flags with yellow stars in the theater, the singing voices, the sparkling eyes - all show that the work has succeeded in touching the love of homeland in each person's heart.
