The workshop took place in a particularly important context: Vietnam is implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation and Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development; The digital transformation process with far-reaching impacts from the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) poses urgent requirements for the social sciences, humanities, and education sectors: not only adapting but also proactively changing to promptly explain, forecast, and shape social changes. This requires new, interdisciplinary, and creative academic approaches, combining traditional research with modern technology.
Speaking at the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duc Son - Rector of Hanoi National University of Education emphasized: We are not only living in the context of digital transformation, but in fact living in reality, where three worlds are intertwined: The subjective world of humans; inherent physical reality and digital reality - a reality that is both real and virtual.
In that context, each individual, each object has its own digital image, its own digital object. Human interaction with the traditional physical environment and the digital environment is shaping human psychology in the new era.

Raising the issue of these changes, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duc Son raised the question: How does the interaction take place? How will our subjective world, from thinking to feeling, from will to action, be different? Can we predict the extent and direction of these changes? In that process, what are the positive aspects that need to be promoted?
Illustrating the profound impact of digital transformation, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duc Son said: if in the past humans remembered mainly with the biological brain, today we possess a giant "external memory". The question is whether that external memory is identical to each person or will become a factor that creates dependence, even functional separation.
According to Principal Nguyen Duc Son, these are big questions for social sciences and humanities. The fact that scientists from many research institutions come together here to exchange approaches and share new discoveries is a clear expression of academic and social responsibility.

Looking back at the functions of universities - the place to preserve social memories and lead the development of society, he affirmed that seminars like today are an important way to carry out those functions. Hanoi National University of Education, with its tradition, always considers basic sciences, including the fields of social sciences - humanities and natural sciences, along with educational sciences and pedagogy as the pillars that create the identity and reputation of the school.
The conference is expected to become a multi-disciplinary, multi-dimensional, open and potential academic forum to share new research results, discuss urgent issues and propose strategic solutions for the development of social sciences and humanities and education in the digital age; promote research cooperation, knowledge transfer and technology application between universities, academies, research institutes and scientists at home and abroad.
The workshop also orients the development of social sciences, humanities and education in the digital age, proposes creative and effective adaptation models; contributes to realizing major national strategies on science, technology and digital transformation, especially in the fields of social sciences, humanities and education.

Within the framework of the program, Hanoi National University of Education and the National School of Texts, Archives and Digital Humanities - University of Paris held a Memorandum of Understanding Ceremony, officially establishing a strategic partnership agreement to promote cooperation in improving the quality of training and scientific research of both schools.
The main areas of cooperation include: Exchange of professors, lecturers, researchers, postgraduate students, and doctoral students; development of joint training programs; development of joint scientific research projects; co-supervision of Master's theses and PhD theses; organization of scientific seminars and academic talks; organization of translation and publication of joint publications, etc.
During the two days of the conference (November 27 and 28), reports were presented at the plenary session and specialized subcommittees, covering fields from philosophy, political science, sociology to linguistics, literature, culture, art, history, anthropology, archival studies, Vietnamese studies and international studies.
