Construction of Thuy Hung resettlement area started

- On November 12, 2025, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board held a groundbreaking ceremony to implement the construction of the resettlement area project to serve the site clearance work of the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang border gate expressway project - leveling the ground of the Thuy Hung resettlement area phase 1, Dong Dang commune.

The contractor is removing the organic soil layer to carry out the excavation and embankment project according to the design.

The contractor mobilized machinery and equipment to scrape off the organic soil layer in the area to level the construction site.

According to the groundbreaking announcement No. 2716/TB-BQLDA, dated November 11, 2025, the scale of the project is to invest in the construction of a synchronous technical infrastructure system (leveling, traffic, electricity supply, lighting; water supply, drainage, fire prevention and fighting) for 3 resettlement areas with a total land use area of 13.5 hectares, a population of 1,216 people, equivalent to 304 resettlement plots.

The total investment for the three resettlement areas is more than 313 billion VND; of which, the basic construction cost is more than 227 billion VND, the project implementation period is from November 12, 2025, expected to be completed and put into operation on June 7, 2026.

As of the groundbreaking date, Thuy Hung resettlement area has an area of 4.9 hectares, Dong Dang commune has cleared 4.3 hectares, and the remaining 0.6 hectares are still under construction and are expected to be completed in November 2025.

Immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony, the contractor scraped off the organic soil layer on the handed-over area to dig and fill as planned. The 4.9-hectare phase 1 leveling project will be completed according to the design in March 2026.
