Groundbreaking ceremony of the Housing Construction Project for the Police Force in Ho Chi Minh City

On December 7, the Ministry of Public Security held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Housing Construction Project for the People's Public Security Armed Forces at 165/5 Nguyen Van Luong Street, Binh Phu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

This project is the first construction in Ho Chi Minh City to be implemented in accordance with Resolution No. 201/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly and Decree 192 of the Government on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for social housing development.

The project is deployed on an area of ​​nearly 4,000 m2, solving urgent housing needs and contributing to completing urban infrastructure, improving the quality of life of local communities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, said: “The housing construction project for the People's Public Security armed forces is a project of special social significance, concretizing the policy of the Party, the State and the Ministry of Public Security in caring for the lives of officers and soldiers, contributing to helping the Public Security force feel secure in their work and successfully complete all assigned tasks. This is also a testament to the exemplary and pioneering role of the Ministry of Public Security in implementing social housing policies.”

Mr. Nguyen Trong Khanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pearl Land Joint Stock Company, representative of the construction unit, informed that this is not only a housing investment project but also a project with profound social and humanistic values. Pearl Land will implement the construction of the project to ensure safety and quality, put it into operation and use soon, and have more new, spacious and modern houses for the officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security in Ho Chi Minh City.

The housing construction project for the People's Public Security armed forces is designed in a modern style, optimizing functionality and focusing on living comfort with airy common living spaces and a reasonable internal green space system. In addition to solving urgent housing needs, the project also contributes to improving urban infrastructure and improving the quality of life of the local community.

According to the report of the Department of Construction and Barracks Management, Ministry of Public Security, as of September 2025, the housing demand of the People's Public Security armed forces in Ho Chi Minh City after the merger is about 9,897 units, expected to increase to 14,847 units by 2030. The early formation of specialized housing projects is an urgent requirement to ensure the lives of officers and soldiers in the context of increasingly heavy tasks.

In the coming time, the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to closely coordinate to deploy the construction of additional housing projects for the People's Public Security armed forces according to the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister .
