This morning, April 19, the groundbreaking ceremony of the AEON Hai Duong Trade Center project took place in Hai Duong.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Japanese Embassy in Vietnam Ito Naoki highly appreciated the advantages of Vietnam, including Hai Duong, in attracting investment for development. Hai Duong has a convenient traffic location, many industrial parks, a large population and many workers in Japanese enterprises.

In particular, Vietnam is focusing on developing the private economy, aiming to increase the proportion of this sector in GDP to 70% by 2030 and promoting improvements in the investment environment.

Appreciating the investment cooperation of AEON Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Hai Duong, Mr. Ito Naoki hoped that the business activities of the enterprise and the service activities at the commercial center would contribute to promoting the economic development of the private sector; meeting the needs of local people and the region. At the same time, he requested that the project construction process must ensure safety.

Ambassador Ito Naoki wished that the cooperation between Vietnam and Japan would be increasingly strong in many fields; and that the business activities of AEON Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Hai Duong would continue to develop.

AEON Hai Duong Commercial Center project has a scale of 3.5 hectares, located near the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap Street and Vo Van Kiet Street in Lien Hong Commune and Thach Khoi Ward (Hai Duong City).

The project has a total investment of 1,170 billion VND, with an operating period of 50 years. AEON Vietnam Co., Ltd. is the project investor. The retail and product distribution center has a scale of about 5,000 items of all kinds; about 150 booths for rent for business purposes.

A performance to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony

On the same morning, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Investment Project to build Provincial Road 394B, Hai Duong province (the section connecting Provincial Road 395 to the North-South axis, Thanh Mien district) and the technical opening ceremony for the Investment Project to build the East-West axis road, Hai Duong province.

The groundbreaking ceremony and technical opening of the projects on April 19 are to implement the Prime Minister's direction on organizing groundbreaking ceremonies and inauguration of projects to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The groundbreaking and opening ceremonies for 80 key projects took place simultaneously across the country this morning, connecting online with the main bridge at Passenger Terminal T3 - Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City).
