Construction begins on An Phu Bridge.

(CT) - On May 23, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trung Hung commune and the Veterans Association of the commune jointly organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of An Phu bridge, located in Thanh Phu 2 hamlet, Trung Hung commune (formerly Xeo Ro bridge).

According to local residents, the old bridge was narrow, making travel and transportation of goods difficult. The new An Phu bridge is 17 meters long, 4 meters wide, and constructed of reinforced concrete; it is expected to be completed in 1.5 months. The project has a total construction cost of 240 million VND, funded through social mobilization. Of this amount, the Tue Tam VH Group contributed 125 million VND, and local people and philanthropists contributed 115 million VND. In addition, the Tue Tam VH Group also provided 8 million VND to install a lighting system for the An Phu bridge and donated gifts to people in difficult circumstances.
