Groundbreaking ceremony for De A School, Long Phieng Commune, Son La Province

On December 6, the Vietnam Stature Fund (VSF), the Youth Union of Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank in collaboration with Tien Phong Newspaper and Son La Provincial Youth Union organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the De A school, belonging to Chieng Tuong Primary School, Pa Kha 1 village, Long Phieng commune.

Representatives of units and sponsors, along with leaders of Long Phieng commune and Chieng Tuong Primary School, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the school.

The project has a total investment of 554 million VND, including 2 classrooms, 1 toilet, 1 playground of more than 100m2 and a road leading to the school, ensuring that more than 50 Mong ethnic students can study in a solid school. The current headquarters of De A school was built in 1996 and has seriously degraded. Two classes now have to move more than 5km to study at the main school; the remaining class has to study in a room built nearly 20 years ago, 1km from the old headquarters, the road is steep and slippery, making it very difficult for teachers and students to get to school. In particular, the school does not have a toilet, making it difficult for students to live.

The students are eagerly preparing to welcome the new school.

In addition to the financial contribution from the Fund for Vietnamese Stature and Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, the local government will support materials and mobilize people and youth union members to contribute working days. On this occasion, the Fund and Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank also presented 432 boxes of TH true MILK to the students of the school.
