| Sponsors and local authorities pose for a photo with teachers and students at Khai Hoang school. |
The Khai Hoang primary and kindergarten school currently has 50 students, 100% of whom are children of the Mong ethnic minority, mainly from poor and near-poor households. The facilities are severely dilapidated, with makeshift classrooms, no kitchen, and a lack of restrooms and recreational space, significantly impacting teaching and learning.
The newly constructed school building covers a total area of approximately 600 square meters and includes the following components: 4 preschool and primary school classrooms (level 4), a teacher's staff quarters, a kitchen, restrooms, a fence, a concrete courtyard, and overall landscaping. All construction costs and interior equipment were provided by the sponsor as a complete package. Upon completion, the school will be handed over to the local authorities for management and use.
This is not only an investment in educational infrastructure, but also demonstrates care and compassion for children in disadvantaged ethnic minority areas, opening up better learning opportunities and contributing to improving the quality of education and training in the locality.
