Construction of houses for households affected by floods in Hoa Xuan commune started

On the morning of December 7, Hoa Xuan commune coordinated with relevant units to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of "Quang Trung Campaign" to rapidly build and repair houses for people affected by storms and floods in the commune.

Delegates and people's representatives performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the house construction.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Huynh Lu Tan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Phu Yen Economic Zone Management Board; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune; representatives of socio-political organizations, military forces, philanthropists and a large number of people.

According to statistics, prolonged rains and floods have caused deep flooding and huge property damage in Hoa Xuan commune. The whole commune has 437 damaged houses, of which 38 houses were completely damaged; estimated damage is over 90.6 billion VND.

Comrade Huynh Lu Tan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Phu Yen Economic Zone Management Board (second from right) and local leaders visited and encouraged people to soon stabilize their lives.

Faced with that situation, the entire political system, along with authorities at all levels, the police, the army, organizations, and sponsors, joined hands to support and determinedly carry out the "Quang Trung Campaign" - urgently building and repairing houses for households whose houses were swept away, collapsed, or severely damaged.

Chairman of Hoa Xuan Commune People's Committee Hoang Anh Tuan presented a symbolic plaque of 170 million VND to build a house for Ms. Dinh Thi Rot's family.

The goal is to complete house construction for households whose houses have completely collapsed before January 31, 2026, and to complete repairs of damaged houses before December 31, 2025, ensuring that the houses are sturdy, safe, and meet living requirements and disaster prevention.

Local leaders presented corrugated iron sheets supported by Hoa Phat Group to build houses for people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Hoa Xuan Commune People's Committee Hoang Anh Tuan sent his condolences and encouragement to the affected households; at the same time, praised the efforts of the Party Committee, government, military forces, commune police and organizations in overcoming the consequences of recent floods.

The commune leaders affirmed their determination to “leave no one behind”, considering the rebuilding of houses for the people as a key and urgent political task. Construction units must ensure quality, speed up progress; continue to coordinate closely with the commune government and support forces so that people can soon stabilize their lives.
