The National Press Award on Youth Union and Youth Movement is held annually to honor outstanding journalistic works that vividly reflect the pioneering and creative spirit of the youth of the whole country. In 2026, the Award will continue to expand its scope of participation to all Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad; members of the Organizing Committee, the Jury and the Secretariat will not be allowed to participate.
According to the Rules, entries must accurately and effectively reflect the key contents of the Youth Union's work and the youth movement, especially the results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; the emulation spirit to welcome Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Party Congress; good models and creative ways of implementing the Resolution of the 12th National Youth Union Congress.
In addition, articles can focus on digital transformation in Youth Union activities, creative youth movements, volunteering, and startups; typical youth examples; activities to celebrate major national holidays; and many other topics related to youth.
This year's award accepts works in seven categories: print, electronic, radio, television, photojournalism, multimedia journalism, and journalism about children and Young Pioneers' work.
Entries must be published between May 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026 on legal press agencies and submitted to the contest website: giaibaochi.doanthanhnien.vn . Each entry must be accompanied by confirmation from the press agency or governing unit as prescribed.
The 2026 prize structure continues to be maintained with attractive values. In the four categories of print, electronic, radio and television, each category has 1 A prize worth 20 million VND, 1 B prize worth 15 million VND, 2 C prizes worth 10 million VND each and 3 Consolation prizes worth 5 million VND.
In addition, the Organizing Committee will award 1 prize for the best press photo; 2 prizes for multimedia press; and a separate prize system for works about children and children's movements. Two collective prizes will be awarded to press agencies or Youth Union units with many quality works participating.
The 2026 National Press Award on Youth Union and Youth Movement activities promises to continue to attract a large number of journalists, reporters and content creators, contributing to clearly portraying the image of the young generation of Vietnam as brave, knowledgeable, and full of aspirations to contribute in the new development stage of the country.
