Developing from industrial promotion capital

Machinery of Dai Phat Forestry Company Limited is supported by industrial promotion funds.

In the period of 2021-2025, the Department of Industry and Trade has coordinated with localities to implement 85 industrial promotion projects, including support for building technical demonstration models, applying synchronous equipment lines and advanced machinery and equipment, participating in exhibitions and planning industrial clusters. In particular, the national industrial promotion project "Supporting rural industrial establishments in the province to develop forest product processing production in the period of 2023-2025" has helped enterprises apply new technologies, expand production and export markets.

Dai Phat Forestry Company Limited with a factory in Xuan Khang commune (Nhu Thanh) is one of the typical units that benefited and operated effectively from the industrial promotion program. In 2023, the company invested in a factory worth nearly 16.5 billion VND with full modern equipment to produce plywood. The factory's machinery system was invested with about more than 13.8 billion VND, including many modern equipment such as lifting equipment, industrial sawdust vacuum cleaners, board sewing machines, boiler systems, board turning machines, automatic saw blade sharpeners... In which, the board sewing machine, boiler system, board turning machines, automatic saw blade sharpeners are the equipment supported by funding from the local industrial promotion program.

Director of the Company Vu ​​Dang Bac shared: "Thanks to the completion of the synchronous production process, our company has become the first unit to successfully produce plywood for export from eucalyptus, acacia and mixed wood materials in the province. Currently, the company has met the necessary criteria to sign a direct contract with the Japanese corporation with a long-term cooperation period of 10 - 15 years".

Thao Ngoc Viet Company Limited (Nghi Son town), operating in the field of agricultural processing, has also been supported in innovating drying technology to help improve product quality, make it more beautiful, and at the same time increase productivity in production. In addition, the company has also been supported in promoting products and boosting sales. Company director Trinh Duc Trong said: "The support in innovating drying technology has helped us improve product quality, make it more beautiful, and at the same time increase productivity in production. In addition, we have also been supported in promoting products and accessing modern business methods on e-commerce platforms."

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the industrial promotion program not only provides financial support but also creates conditions for enterprises to access new technology, improve production capacity and compete in the market. This is clearly affirmed when, along with the leading capital of more than 29.6 billion VND, more than 86 billion VND has been mobilized from rural industrial establishments. Through supporting investment in advanced machinery and equipment, enterprises have gradually improved product quality, reduced production costs and expanded consumption markets; at the same time, contributing to creating jobs for local workers, promoting rural economic development and shifting economic structure towards industrialization.

Binh Son Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative is supported to apply agricultural processing machinery and equipment under the local industrial promotion program.

Director of Thanh Hoa Industry and Trade Promotion Center Hoang Xuan Phong shared: “We have guided the subjects on the procedures and documents, creating the best conditions for the subjects to participate in the industrial promotion program, effectively applying machinery to production. Also during this time, the center has supported enterprises to participate in more than 10 domestic fairs, organized many supply-demand connection fairs to promote and introduce products, helping enterprises find more customers and new markets”.

Despite many positive results, some industrial promotion tasks have not been implemented, such as environmental pollution treatment at rural industrial establishments and industrial clusters; supporting clean industrial production. The maintenance and development of some small-scale handicraft industries associated with surplus labor in rural areas have not met requirements. To overcome the above shortcomings, the State needs to continue to improve policies, improve the quality of support, and aim for sustainable development of rural industry in the new period; at the same time, strengthen human resource training and improve the capacity to access technology for rural industrial establishments to keep up with new requirements.
