According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, block V (Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Science and Information Technology, Engineering Technology, Engineering, Production and Processing, Architecture and Construction, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Veterinary Medicine) has the largest training scale in recent years, with the number of students increasing steadily every year.

Specifically, in the 2024-2025 school year, there will be more than 707,600 students studying this block, concentrated in key strategic technology and engineering fields. In the past 4 years, the size of this block has increased by an average of about 9%/year.

Right after that is Block III (Business and Management, Law) with a scale of more than 576,000 students in 2024-2025. The scale of this block does not have many strong fluctuations over the years.

Block VII (Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences , Journalism and Information, Social Services, Hotel - Tourism - Sports and Personal Services, Transportation Services, Environment and Environmental Protection, National Security and Defense) ranked third with a scale of more than 490,600 students and increased slightly over the years.

On the other hand, Block IV (Life Sciences, Natural Sciences) has the smallest scale with more than 27,400 students. These are also the fields with low enrollment in recent years, although the basic science group plays an important role in the economy and is in great need of good experts.

The Ministry of Education and Training also assessed that this year's bright spot is that the groups of industries that the Government is particularly interested in, such as key technology and engineering sectors, have had more candidates register.

In particular, the admission results for pedagogical majors and STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) have improved significantly.

In particular, in the 74 majors with a standard score based on the high school graduation exam score of 28/30 or higher, there are 50 pedagogical majors and 17 key technical majors and strategic technologies (computer science, artificial intelligence, semiconductor microchips, control and automation...).

Two Vietnamese universities have the most international publications in the first half of 2025. Two national universities are currently leading the country in the number of research articles in the first half of 2025. There are many familiar names in the top 10.
