Initiating criminal proceedings and charging the suspect with illegal possession of narcotics.

On February 13th, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency issued a decision to initiate a criminal case and prosecute Nguyen Truong Giang (born in 1999, residing at Group 3, Minh Kien A Hamlet, U Minh Thuong Commune, An Giang Province) for the illegal possession of narcotics.

Earlier, during a patrol, the U Minh Thuong commune police discovered Nguyen Truong Giang driving a motorcycle with license plate 68EA-049.77 on a rural road in Minh Kien A hamlet, U Minh Thuong commune, exhibiting suspicious behavior, so they stopped the vehicle for inspection.

Upon spotting the police, Giang immediately threw away a leather wallet. The police promptly inspected the wallet and found a nylon package and a sealed plastic straw containing numerous white crystalline particles suspected to be drugs, weighing 2.5137 grams.

At the police station, Nguyen Truong Giang confessed that the seized items were narcotics. The results of the forensic examination by the authorities confirmed that the narcotics were synthetic drugs (methamphetamine).

The case is still under investigation and will be handled in accordance with the law.
