According to lawyer Le Lam Thanh from the Provincial Bar Association, the causes of young people falling into drug addiction stem from many factors. First and foremost is the lack of attention and supervision from families; life skills education for young people is still limited in some areas. The development of social media allows unscrupulous individuals to exploit it to promote and entice young people to use drugs with many sophisticated tricks. Some young people lack self-control and seek new sensations, making them easily susceptible to temptation and falling into addiction. For drug prevention and control among young people to be effective and sustainable, the joint efforts of families, schools, and society are essential.

Lawyer Le Lam Thanh believes that families need to increase their attention and supervision, regularly listen to and share with their children to promptly detect any unusual behavior. Schools should focus on moral education and life skills, building a healthy learning environment free from drug abuse. Youth organizations should play a leading role, organizing many healthy cultural and sports activities to attract young people's participation.

Authorities are further strengthening the dissemination and education of laws on drug prevention and control in schools and residential areas through various rich and accessible methods for young people. The police force regularly collaborates with schools throughout the province to organize legal awareness campaigns and provide skills in recognizing and preventing drug use for students through extracurricular activities, seminars, and youth forums. The content of these campaigns is being innovated to be more visual, lively, and suitable for the age group. Many models, such as drug-free schools, safe residential areas, and youth saying no to drugs, have proven effective, contributing to raising awareness in the community.

According to Major General Nguyen Van Han, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Provincial Police, the entire provincial police force proactively implemented plans and professional measures to prevent and combat drug trafficking, promptly detecting and dismantling drug rings, organizations, gangs, and complex drug hotspots involving young people; and illegal drug trafficking, transportation, recruitment, and organization of drug use in cyberspace. At the same time, they strengthened state management and territorial control over businesses operating under specific conditions and services sensitive to security and order, complex hotspots around educational institutions, and areas with a high concentration of young workers in industrial zones, clusters, and urban construction projects.

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Thanh Phong, emphasized that drug prevention and control is not only the responsibility of the police but also of the entire political system. Each locality must have a firm grasp of the local drug situation and effectively implement drug prevention and control measures. With the motto "Prevention is key, the grassroots is the fortress," the entire province must clean up its areas from hamlet to neighborhood, preventing the formation of hotspots and complex drug-related problems. At the same time, resources must be increased for drug rehabilitation, post-rehabilitation management, and support for reintegration into the community, sustainably reducing the relapse rate...

Drug prevention and control is the responsibility of the entire society. Every young person needs to raise their awareness of self-protection, say no to drugs, stay away from social evils, and actively participate in disseminating information and encouraging friends to build a healthy living environment. With the joint efforts of families, schools, law enforcement agencies, and society as a whole, drug prevention and control efforts will be effective, contributing to maintaining a peaceful life and a bright future for the younger generation.
