
The lowest temperatures during this cold spell in the midland and lowland areas of Northern Vietnam and North Central Vietnam will generally range from 12 to 15 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas from 9 to 12 degrees Celsius, and in some high mountainous areas below 8 degrees Celsius.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the cold air mass is causing dangerous weather conditions in many sea areas. Forecasts indicate that from late afternoon and tonight, November 17th, the Gulf of Tonkin will experience strong northeast monsoon winds of force 7-8, gusting to force 9, with rough seas and waves 3-5 meters high.
In the northern part of the East Sea, the northeast monsoon winds are gradually strengthening to force 7-8, gusting to force 9-10, causing rough seas with waves 4-6 meters high. Forecasts indicate that from early morning tomorrow, November 18th, in the sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai , and the northern part of the central East Sea, the northeast monsoon winds will gradually strengthen to force 6-7, gusting to force 8-9, causing rough seas with waves 4-6 meters high.
