Cold air strengthens, causing heavy rain in the North and Central regions

From the night of November 2 to 4, the North, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will have rain, some places will have moderate rain. Northeast wind level 2 - 3, coastal areas level 3 - 4. Temperatures will drop sharply, from the night of November 2, the Northeast and Thanh Hoa regions will turn cold, some highland areas will be very cold. The Northwest and Nghe An will be cold, from the night of November 3 to 4, it will turn cold. The lowest temperature is commonly 16 - 19 degrees Celsius, some mountainous areas below 15 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of cold air combined with high-altitude easterly wind disturbances, from the morning of November 2 to the morning of November 4, the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai had heavy to very heavy rain. Rainfall in Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang and the East of Quang Ngai was generally 300 - 500 mm, in some places over 750 mm; Ha Tinh and Quang Tri 200 - 350 mm, locally over 500 mm.

Southern Nghe An and western Quang Ngai have moderate to heavy rain, some places have very heavy rain with rainfall of 70 - 150 mm, locally over 250 mm.

At sea, the tropical convergence zone is active, connecting with the low pressure area at about 12.5 - 13.5 degrees North latitude and 111.5 - 112.5 degrees East longitude. The Gulf of Tonkin has strong northeast winds of level 5 - 6, gusts of level 7 - 8; from noon and afternoon, the wind gradually increases to level 6, gusts of level 7 - 8, rough seas, waves 1.5 - 3 m high. The sea area from South Quang Tri to Quang Ngai has northeast winds of level 5 - 6, gusts of level 7 - 8, waves 2 - 3 m high. The North East Sea area, including the Hoang Sa sea area, has strong winds of level 7, gusts of level 8 - 9, waves 3 - 5 m high, rough seas.
