On January 21st, the cold air mass intensified and expanded its influence to the entire Northeast, Northwest, North Central, and Central regions of Vietnam. Inland, winds shifted to the northeast at level 2-3, and level 3-4 in coastal areas, causing a noticeable increase in the feeling of cold.

Due to the impact of the verstärkt cold front, from January 21st, the weather in Northern Vietnam and North Central Vietnam will turn cold. From the night of January 21st to around January 23rd, the Northern region is likely to experience severe cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing extreme cold. The lowest temperatures in the Northern region will generally be 11-14 degrees Celsius, 8-11 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas, and below 6 degrees Celsius in some high mountainous areas.

Specifically in Hanoi , from the evening of January 20th to January 22nd, there will be rain and cloudy skies. From January 21st, the weather will turn cold; from the night of January 21st to around January 23rd, there is a possibility of severe cold, with the lowest temperatures generally ranging from 12 to 14 degrees Celsius.

At sea, the northeastern part of the South China Sea is currently experiencing strong northeasterly winds of force 6, sometimes reaching force 7. Forecasts for January 20th (day and night) indicate that the northeasterly winds in the North China Sea (including the Hoang Sa Islands) will gradually strengthen to force 6, sometimes reaching force 7, with gusts of force 8-9; the sea will be rough, with waves 3-5 meters high. In the Gulf of Tonkin, from January 21st onwards, winds will be strong at force 6, with gusts of force 7-8, and waves 2-3 meters high.

The meteorological agency warns that all vessels operating in the aforementioned sea areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and high waves. Fishermen and relevant units need to proactively take precautions, limit going out to sea, and regularly monitor subsequent weather forecasts to respond promptly.

Highest temperature 23 - 26 degrees Celsius, some places above 26 degrees Celsius.

Southeast winds will shift to northeast winds of force 2-3 from night, force 3-4 in coastal areas. Cold in the early morning and at night. Lowest temperatures 15-18°C, below 14°C in some mountainous areas. Highest temperatures 21-24°C.

Provinces from Thanh Hoa to Hue will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain, foggy and misty in the early morning, clearing up with sunshine in the afternoon; Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will experience scattered rain in the evening and at night. Light winds. Cold in the early morning and at night. Lowest temperature 17-20°C. Highest temperature 25-28°C.

The South Central Coastal region will be cloudy with sunny days; scattered rain at night. Northeast winds at level 2-3. Cold in the early morning and at night. Lowest temperature 17-20°C. Highest temperature 27-30°C.

Southern Vietnam will be cloudy with sunny periods during the day; scattered showers are expected in the late afternoon and evening. Light winds. Lowest temperature 21-24°C. Highest temperature 29-32°C.

Ho Chi Minh City will be cloudy with sunny days and no rain at night. Light winds. Lowest temperature 21-23°C. Highest temperature 29-31°C.
