Also before the match, we met the family of Chairat Pimdech from Thailand. Talking to us, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mo (from Bac Ninh ), wife of Chairat Pimdech, shared that her family came to the stadium to cheer for the Vietnamese women's team. She and her two children arrived very early and planned to cheer for all the women's and men's football matches of Vietnam at this SEA Games.

Chonburi province is the venue for the women's football matches of the 33rd SEA Games. This is also where the Vietnamese women's team competed and won the AFF Cup in 2019.
According to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the list of 23 players competing at the 33rd SEA Games includes many experienced players, such as captain Huynh Nhu, Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Hoang Thi Loan... Coach Mai Duc Chung also selected young players, such as Tran Thi Duyen, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha, Ngoc Minh Chuyen...
Coach Mai Duc Chung commented that the skill gap between Southeast Asian women's football teams has narrowed significantly and assessed that Group B is very balanced. According to coach Mai Duc Chung, the Vietnamese team must focus on each match and the ultimate goal is still to reach the final.

During the preparation process, the Vietnamese women's team participated in overseas training sessions and played some friendly matches to gain experience. In Chonburi, the team also had training sessions before starting their journey to conquer the SEA Games this time.
In the last four SEA Games, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team have won Gold Medals. This is the basis for the team and fans to expect another memorable milestone.
