The historical site of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee's base during the resistance war against the US is located in the Sa Lon forest area, in Hamlet 3, Dong Giang Commune (Lam Dong Province). During the resistance war against the US, the former Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee had a base in more than 30 locations. Specifically at the Sa Lon forest base, the Provincial Party Committee was based three times over a period of more than eight years (from December 1954 to June 1957, from mid-1961 to December 1964, and from September 1968 to August 1970).

The site was classified as a provincial-level historical site by the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province (formerly) in 2017. Subsequently, the original relics were restored, renovated, and auxiliary facilities were built and put into use in early 2023, with a total area of 10.94 hectares.

Beyond mere sightseeing, this place regularly hosts political activities, party and youth union membership ceremonies, thematic study sessions, and extracurricular activities. These activities enrich the sightseeing experience and enhance the practical educational value for locals and tourists.
