The breathtaking scenery is what defines " Lam Dong - A Journey of Sea, Flowers, and Forests."

The main road has been opened.

Although air travel will cease from March 2026, Lam Dong province welcomed nearly 8 million visitors in the first four months of 2026, a 20% increase compared to the same period; of which, international visitors reached 631,000, an increase of over 23.3% compared to the same period. Revenue from tourism activities reached nearly 22,000 billion VND, an increase of over 30% compared to the same period in 2025…

This is a very encouraging result in the context of Lam Dong province focusing on restructuring its tourism development space after the merger, and it serves as a foundation for the key economic sector to make more breakthroughs.

To attract tourists, since the beginning of the year, many large-scale events have been organized in Lam Dong province, such as: Countdown 2026, the Dalat Ultra Trail 2026 race, the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup National Cycling Race, the opening ceremony of the "Welcome to Summer Tourism Season 2026" series of activities and the announcement of the Mui Ne National Tourist Area Planning until 2040, with a vision to 2050… all of which have contributed to attracting a large number of tourists to Lam Dong.

Creating a three-pronged approach for tourism in Lam Dong.

The announcement by Lam Dong province of the master plan for the Mui Ne National Tourist Area until 2040, with a vision to 2050, covering an area of 14,760 hectares and developed according to the model of "One coastal corridor - Three centers - Multiple access points to the sea," aiming to become an international-level tourism center and a leading destination in the Asia-Pacific region, is a strategic step. This event marks a significant step forward in concretizing the policy of developing tourism into a key economic sector, opening up new growth opportunities linked to the marine economy.

Lam Dong's tourism industry is also implementing the "Lam Dong - Journey of the Sea, Flowers, and Great Forests" destination brand development plan, focusing on three key destinations: Da Lat, Mui Ne, and Ta Dung. These three locations help to position and enhance the value of Lam Dong tourism in both domestic and international markets. The interconnected routes of "Sea - Mountains - Flowers" and "Highlands - Coastal Areas - UNESCO Geoparks" are creating a positive effect, attracting a large number of tourists. These three destinations also play a central role in linking and coordinating tourism activities, creating synergistic strength for other economic sectors within Lam Dong's business ecosystem, aiming to attract 25 million visitors in 2026 and contributing to achieving double-digit growth targets by 2026.

Tourism industry data also shows strong growth in the international tourist market, with the majority of visitors coming from Russia, South Korea, China, Germany, and the United States, increasing by 23% compared to the same period last year. This, in the context of air travel closures, highlights the effectiveness of various tourism types: ecotourism, beach tourism, night tourism, community tourism, adventure sports tourism, health and wellness tourism, and regional tourism linkages.

However, to further diversify the tourist experience and contribute to extending the length of stay, increasing spending, and expanding the tourism space throughout the province, during a recent working session with the Provincial Tourism Association, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ho Van Muoi, requested that units, localities, associations, and businesses identify key tourist markets for the province; and at the same time, coordinate smoothly with relevant agencies to create breakthroughs in tourism development in the coming time. In particular, more attention should be paid to products and diversifying types of tourism.

According to statistics, Lam Dong currently has 436 tourism investment projects, including high-end resort products, MICE tourism, water sports, adventure sports, community tourism, and night-time economy...; of which 260 projects have already become operational.
