According to the National Fair Organizing Committee, in just the first two days of opening, the Spring Fair attracted over 32,000 visitors and transactions. Local stalls were the most popular, generating between 20 million and 1 billion VND in revenue during the initial days. Local authorities expect the Spring Fair to be a boost to promote local OCOP (One Commune One Product) products, helping them achieve their retail growth targets for 2026.
Located right next to the entrance, the booths of the northern provinces attracted a large number of visitors due to their many experiential activities and specialties of the northern ethnic groups.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen, Director of the Investment Promotion and Financial Consulting and Services Center of Lai Chau province, said: "Specialties from the highlands such as dried meat products, characteristic dishes of the Northwest region, and spices... are especially loved by customers from Hanoi and visitors to the fair. Our company has to constantly update our inventory daily, and we also expect that the end of the fair will be a boost to our revenue."
Besides focusing on selling goods, the stalls are also decorated in the distinctive style of the Northwest mountainous region for tourists to take photos and experience.
Ms. Hoang Thi Bich from Son La province shared: "I am very happy and excited to bring the unique culture and products of my province to introduce to people all over the country. We made sticky rice cakes and sold about 100 of them."
Because the opening date is Monday and lasts until February 13th, small business owners and local authorities expect sales to increase even further over the weekend.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, commented: "Businesses and associations coming to Ho Chi Minh City with about 300 products from 80 representative enterprises at this fair also hope to introduce and sell their products."
Businesses also assessed that the fair helped reduce operating and consignment costs by 15% - 20%, thereby directly passing this benefit on to consumers. This not only makes prices at the fair more competitive compared to the market, but also increases transparency and strengthens consumer confidence in domestic goods, especially in the context of people increasingly concerned about product quality and origin.
