During the maneuvers at sea, the working groups of the working group randomly inspected a number of fishing vessels exploiting seafood in the sea area bordering Vietnam-Malaysia-Thailand. Through the inspection, the group assessed: Basically, the owners and crew strictly complied with the regulations on preventing and combating IUU fishing, however, there was still one case of violation of administrative procedure regulations. The authorities drew up a record to handle the violation; at the same time, propagandized, educated , and helped fishermen raise their awareness of law compliance in exploiting aquatic and marine products.

Conducting inspections of Coast Guard, Fisheries Surveillance and regular militia vessels on duty in the field, the working group commended the results and spirit of overcoming difficulties of officers and soldiers in implementing the peak of preventing and combating IUU fishing, combined with preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud, and illegal entry and exit. At the same time, the working group requested the forces to continue to coordinate closely, increase patrols and controls, promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle fishing vessels that violate the law. In particular, it is necessary to prevent Vietnamese fishing vessels from crossing the border to illegally exploit seafood in foreign waters.
On this occasion, the delegation of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command also organized many activities such as: Offering incense and flowers at Hang Duong Martyrs Cemetery; visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to local authorities, armed forces units and people of Con Dao; Flower releasing ceremony to commemorate heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Southwest sea; offering incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh Temple and heroic martyrs; visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to local authorities, armed forces units and people on Tho Chu Island; propagating and combating IUU and giving gifts to fishermen.
