Check the progress of the project "Research and application of measures to prevent and control pests and diseases on Codonopsis javanica (Blume) Hook.f.et.Thomson) in Kon Tum province (old)" in 2025.

Pursuant to Decision No. 157/QD-UBND dated November 3, 2025 of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province on the establishment of a Team to inspect and evaluate the implementation of provincial-level science and technology projects. From November 13-16, 2025, the Department of Science and Technology (KH&CN) conducted an inspection and evaluation of the project "Research and application of measures to prevent and control pests and diseases on Codonopsis javanica (Blume) Hook.f.et Thomson) in Kon Tum province (old)", chaired by the Institute of Plant Protection and chaired by Dr. Bui Van Dung.

Dr. Bui Van Dung - Project leader reported the implementation results at the inspection session.

The objectives of the project are: To determine the composition of pests and diseases; the laws of occurrence and the main level of damage on Codonopsis pilosula in Kon Tum province (old); to determine effective integrated pest and disease control measures on Codonopsis pilosula according to the principles and standards of GACP WHO; to train and guide techniques for pest and disease control on Codonopsis pilosula.

The project will be implemented for 24 months from November 30, 2023 to November 30, 2025.

According to the report of the Agency in charge and Project Manager, the following contents have been completed so far: Investigation of the composition of pests and diseases; assessment of the level of damage caused by them on Codonopsis pilosula in Kon Tum; study of biological and morphological characteristics; evolution of some major pests and diseases on Codonopsis pilosula in Kon Tum (inheriting the studied objects); study and application of integrated pest and disease control measures on Codonopsis pilosula in the districts of Tu Mo Rong, Kon Plong, Dak Glei, Kon Tum province (now Ngoc Linh, Mang Ri and Mang Den communes, Quang Ngai province).

The inspection team inspected the model in Mang Den commune, Quang Ngai province.

Through the reporting process of the Project Manager and the actual inspection, the Inspection Team recorded the implemented contents, and at the same time reminded and guided the Presiding Agency and Project Manager to implement the contents and work that have not been completed to ensure the Project is completed on schedule.
