On November 14, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment coordinated with the People's Committee of Lam Dong province to organize the National Agricultural Extension Conference in 2025 to evaluate the results of arranging and perfecting the agricultural extension system according to the two-level local government model, implementing the National Agricultural Extension Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050.
The conference aims to build ecological agriculture , modern countryside, civilized farmers, contributing to realizing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and prosperous country.
By 2025, the whole country will have formed more than 5,100 community agricultural extension groups with nearly 50,000 members, affirming the effectiveness of the model of "agricultural extension to villages and hamlets", contributing to bringing policies and scientific and technical advances closer to farmers.

According to the National Agricultural Extension Center, the National Agricultural Extension Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050, clearly defines the orientation of "State Agricultural Extension playing a central role", orienting, coordinating and connecting social resources, while encouraging the participation of businesses, scientific organizations, cooperatives and people.
In the context of digital transformation spreading strongly, Vietnam's agricultural extension has built a database, developed the "Digital Agricultural Extension" and "Smart Agricultural Extension" platforms to improve management efficiency and open up new cooperation spaces, helping farmers access information, technology and markets more quickly and transparently.

The grassroots agricultural extension system has been improved, directly under the Commune-level Public Service Center, under the direction of local authorities. This model helps the agricultural extension staff to truly become "people of the people, working for the people", directly accompanying farmers in production, disease and disaster prevention and sustainable livelihood development.
The goal by 2030 is to have 70% of agricultural extension models developed according to sustainable value chains, contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products domestically and internationally.
