On the morning of June 6, continuing the program of the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly conducted the questioning of the 4th group of issues in the fields of culture, sports , tourism and closed the questioning and answering session. The session was broadcast live on television and radio for voters and the people to follow.
Opening the morning session, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung continued to answer questions from National Assembly deputies.
In particular, answering the question of delegate Tran Thi Hong Thanh, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Ninh Binh province on the issue related to the role of cultural industry in tourism development, the Minister affirmed: In the Strategy of Vietnam's cultural industries to 2022, with a vision to 2030 approved by the Government in Decision 1755/QD-TTg in 2016, 12 cultural industries were identified, of which the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was assigned to directly direct and manage the State in 5 industries: Advertising, photography, exhibition, cinema, performing arts and cultural tourism.
Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised the Prime Minister to organize the first National Conference on the development of cultural industry under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister. At the conference, the Prime Minister concluded and expressed his viewpoint: Thinking must be sharp, action must be sharp, choosing the best to make breakthroughs in development. With that spirit, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is advising the Prime Minister to soon issue a directive, currently seeking opinions from ministries, branches and localities, with the spirit of focusing on developing the cultural industry in the direction of creativity, identity, uniqueness, professionalism, healthiness, competitiveness and sustainability. The Minister affirmed that following this direction, the cultural industry will certainly contribute to GDP; hopefully by 2030, with the attention of the Party, the State, the artists, the cultural industry will contribute 7% of GDP as the target set by the Government and the Prime Minister.
To achieve this goal, solutions need to be implemented synchronously, in which cultural tourism is considered one of the products with a larger proportion. In the coming time, the Ministry will continue to focus on training human resources, contributing to effectively promoting this important industry.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, on behalf of the Government, clarified issues in four groups of questions and directly answered questions from National Assembly deputies.
Speaking at the end of the question and answer session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said: After 2.5 days of serious and responsible work, the National Assembly has completed the entire question and answer session program at the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly with 4 groups of issues under the main responsibility of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh; Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan.
At the question and answer session, 193 National Assembly deputies spoke (of which 162 deputies questioned and 31 deputies debated); 160 deputies had registered but were not allowed to speak due to time running out. The National Assembly Chairman requested that National Assembly deputies send their questions to the Prime Minister, members of the Government, and heads of sectors for written responses according to regulations.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that the questioning contents met practical requirements, were correct and hit the issues that voters, people nationwide and National Assembly deputies were concerned about; continuing to affirm that this is a direct and effective form of supreme supervision of the National Assembly.
The question-and-answer session took place in a lively, democratic, frank and constructive spirit. Through their practical activities, the National Assembly deputies grasped the situation, carefully studied the reports, raised questions, and debated briefly, clearly, practically, and went straight to the issues. Most of the deputies only raised one issue when asking questions, so many deputies were questioned and it was also convenient for the Chairman, Ministers and Heads of sectors to follow, take notes and answer; the content of the basic questions was within the content and scope of the questioning. Through the questioning process, the National Assembly deputies frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations, clearly analyzed the causes and proposed solutions, with the hope that the Government, ministries and sectors would continue to have more appropriate, drastic and effective solutions for the rapid and sustainable development of the country, meeting the trust and expectations of voters and people nationwide.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested the Government, Ministers and Heads of sectors to fully absorb the opinions of National Assembly deputies, promote the achieved results, focus on promptly, fully and effectively overcoming the shortcomings and limitations in each field, and continue to implement the tasks set out in a more drastic, synchronous, comprehensive and effective manner in the coming time.
This afternoon, the National Assembly continues to work on many important contents. The contents of the session will be updated by Ninh Binh Newspaper.
