Signing of regulations on coordination in management, protection and prevention of forest fires

(GLO)- On the afternoon of October 17, the Mobile Forest Ranger and Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting Team No. 2 (Gia Lai Provincial Forest Ranger Department) organized the signing of coordination regulations in management, protection, and fire prevention and fighting, inspection and handling of violations of the Forestry Law with 5 forest rangers in the areas of Kbang, Mang Yang, Dak Doa, Chu Pah and Ia Grai.

Attending were Mr. Truong Thanh Ha - Acting Head of Gia Lai Forest Protection Sub-Department, along with leaders of several specialized departments and forest protection units in neighboring areas.

According to the regulations, Mobile Forest Ranger and Fire Prevention Team No. 2 will coordinate with 5 regional forest rangers to develop plans for management, protection and fire prevention; inspect and handle violations of the law in the forestry sector; regularly exchange information on forest management, protection and fire prevention.

In particular, grasp the area, identify hotspots at risk of forest fires; coordinate patrols, sweeps and forest fire fighting in key areas where violations often occur such as deforestation, illegal exploitation, trading, transportation and storage of forest products, in order to promptly detect and prevent acts of encroachment on forest resources and forest land.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Truong Thanh Ha - Acting Head of Gia Lai Provincial Forest Protection Sub-Department - emphasized: The signing ceremony of the coordination regulations by Mobile Forest Protection and Fire Prevention Team No. 2 with 5 forest protection units in Kbang, Mang Yang, Dak Doa, Chu Pah, Ia Grai is very timely and practical; thereby, strengthening the coordination between units in detecting, preventing, and handling early to protect forest areas in the dry season of 2025-2026 in particular and the coming time in general.

The Acting Head of the Provincial Forest Protection Sub-Department also requested that, after the signing ceremony of this coordination regulation, the units focus on deploying it to the entire forest ranger force; maintain timely and accurate information, especially in fire prevention and control situations and sweep complicated cases; coordinate in organizing patrols and controls between regions, between communes and in border areas inside and outside the province.
