Realistic hypothetical situations, along with dramatic live dialogues, not only teach knowledge but also practice skills. The activities on the first day of the campaign "Not alone" - "Online safety together" attracted the attention and enthusiastic participation of more than 500 students and teachers of Yen Bai Ethnic Boarding High School.
"Myself and my friends have learned many valuable lessons from real stories. Through that, we also realize that we must raise awareness, vigilance, self-defense skills and know how to share with others" - Hoang Thi Hai Yen, a student of class 11A2, Yen Bai Ethnic Boarding High School, said.
Being a mountainous and border area, Lao Cai province has many ethnic minority students, with limited access to information - this is considered the main cause leading to the risk of online kidnapping. Therefore, proactively equipping students with knowledge and skills to protect themselves from scams, enticements, and "online kidnapping" is becoming increasingly urgent.
According to teacher Hoang Thi Hang - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Yen Bai Ethnic Boarding High School, aware of the potential risks to students in cyberspace, the school has regularly coordinated with the local police force to organize meetings, disseminate measures to prevent and protect students from cybercrime. The phone numbers of teachers are posted so that students can receive timely information and be most safely protected.
After launching the campaign "Not alone" - "Online safety together", up to now, nearly 4,000 students, teachers and parents in Lao Cai province have participated in the response, thereby sharing and spreading the positive message: "Each individual, especially students - is never alone when facing risks in cyberspace".

"In my opinion, each individual must be aware of using social networks in a smart and civilized way. At the same time, they must also regularly improve their knowledge to be able to share and help people around them when necessary," said Lo Ha Phuong Uyen, class 11A1, Yen Bai Ethnic Boarding High School.
As for Do Quang Truong, class 12A2, Lao Cai Ethnic Boarding High School, the most important thing is not to be silent, we need to speak up to get help. Speaking up is also so that no one has to face it alone, so that we can all be safe online.
With the message "Together we stay safe online", the "Not Alone" campaign is building a cohesive community, a "solid wall" to protect young people from grooming, manipulation and fraud. It's time for no one to fight alone on the journey to building a safe digital environment.
"We will not stop at this campaign, but we will continue to deploy it methodically and resolutely to promote the strength of the entire political system, the ultimate goal is to protect children from the risks of insecurity in cyberspace."
