Implementing the direction of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee on proactively responding to tropical depressions near the East Sea and preventing rain, storms and floods, La Gi ward has seriously deployed measures to prevent and combat natural disasters.

Accordingly, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Dang Thi Hong Lam Ward requested relevant agencies and units to proactively monitor and promptly update disaster forecasts and warnings; at the same time, immediately notify people, especially captains and owners of vehicles operating at sea to prevent and ensure safety.

Authorities maintain regular contact to promptly handle any unexpected situations that may arise.

Tomorrow morning, November 26, the tropical depression will enter the East Sea.

The ward People's Committee also directed close coordination with Binh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited, La Gi - Ham Tan branch in reservoir operation and water regulation, in order to quickly respond to all situations. At the same time, promptly notify people in the downstream areas of reservoirs about the risk of flooding and landslides to proactively prevent and limit damage.

Shock forces, police, civil defense, and volunteers were deployed to inspect and review coastal residential areas, riverside and stream banks, and low-lying areas at risk of flooding and landslides. In particular, areas that were affected by recent heavy rains were given priority in implementing response measures and minimizing damage. Rescue forces were fully prepared with means and equipment, ready to deploy when situations arise.

The Ward Civil Defense Command is responsible for closely monitoring weather developments, being on duty 24/7, promptly warning the people. Areas at risk of landslides, flash floods, and inundation are reviewed, and plans are prepared to evacuate people to safe places when necessary. The "4 on-site" motto is seriously implemented with forces, vehicles, and supplies ready for rescue.

Phuoc Loc Border Guard Station coordinated to count and notify vehicle owners and captains about the location and developments of the tropical depression, ensuring safety for ships and people.

Sea rescue work is prepared, and the Management Board of the Storm Shelter - La Gi Fishing Port is coordinating to manage and arrange for ships to enter and exit the port safely.

Irrigation management units focus on checking and reviewing construction safety, operating reservoirs, ensuring drainage, limiting flooding, protecting downstream areas and crops...
