On the afternoon of April 13, the People's Committee of Lac Duong district coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) to organize a working session with tour groups to survey tourism products and services in the district.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman of Lac Duong District People's Committee Su Thanh Hoai and Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran Thanh Hoai. Attending the meeting were leaders of the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion; travel agencies inside and outside the province; press agencies; tourism establishments, and gong cultural exchange service establishments of Lac Duong district.
After conducting a survey at tourist areas and services in the district, travel agencies and reporters from news agencies exchanged opinions on tourism products and services in Lac Duong district. Most opinions appreciated the diversity of tourist destinations with landscapes favored by nature, especially unique tourism products such as bareback horse racing, gong culture, etc.
However, many opinions say that tourism in Lac Duong district is still not commensurate with its potential and advantages, and has not created a seamless connection between tourist destinations. On the other hand, tourist destinations do not have harmonious color coordination, and overuse of concreting affects the natural beauty. In particular, although there are many diverse tourist destinations, the locality has not yet attracted a large number of tourists to stay and visit for many days, contributing to increasing revenue in this field. In addition, food services are not yet abundant, tourism activities need to create jobs for ethnic minorities... which is also something the locality needs to pay attention to.

TAKE TOURISM IN A PROFESSIONAL DIRECTION
At the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion highly appreciated the survey trip to tourist areas and services in Lac Duong district. This is the first locality in the province to organize a Famtrip program to introduce and promote tourism products and services in the program to welcome tour groups and press to survey new tourism products and services in Lam Dong in districts and cities in the province during the Lam Dong Golden Tourism Week 2023. At the same time, it is necessary to continue promoting tourism investment projects approved by the province to boost tourism activities commensurate with its potential and advantages. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will also support the locality in training human resources to move towards more professional tourism.

In the spirit of learning, Chairman of Lac Duong District People's Committee Su Thanh Hoai respectfully thanked and accepted the opinions of the delegates at the meeting. At the same time, he emphasized that tourism is one of the important economic sectors of the district, so creating tourism products and services to best serve tourists is what the locality is striving towards. In particular, the locality has the Central Highlands gong cultural space recognized by UNESCO as an oral and intangible masterpiece of humanity. This is one of the unique features for the locality to integrate into tourism activities to preserve gong culture. The locality will focus on training human resources for professional tourism as well as building a foundation for travel businesses and tourist areas and spots to connect and coordinate to build tourist routes in the district during the Lam Dong Golden Tourism Week in 2023 in particular and in the coming time.
During Lam Dong Tourism Golden Week 2023, Lac Duong district will host 2 programs including: Gong Culture Festival - Call of the Great Forest at PINI Tourist Area Complex, Da Nghit village, Lat commune and the 2nd Lac Duong District Saddleless Horse Racing Tournament - 2023 at Ma Rung Lu Quan 2 Complex, Sub-area 120, Da Nhim commune.
Along with that, the locality also has response activities such as: Participating in the folk art performance program and traditional costume demonstration - Beauty of the Southern Central Highlands Cultural Heritage; displaying and introducing the culture of ethnic groups in Lac Duong district at the space for displaying and introducing the culture of ethnic groups in Lam Dong province at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City.
