Lai Châu joyfully welcomes the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

(laichau.gov.vn) This evening (February 16th, the eve of the Lunar New Year 2026), the People's Committee of Lai Chau province will organize an art program to celebrate the Party, the Spring Festival, welcome the New Year, and set off fireworks to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for the people of all ethnic groups in the province.

Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - presented gifts to congratulate the actors participating in the art program on the New Year.

The opening activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year were held at the People's Square in Lai Chau province with the theme "Rhythm of Spring," which attracted a large number of people from various ethnic groups in Tan Phong and Doan Ket wards and neighboring communes to watch and cheer.

The art program celebrating the Party and the Spring Festival has the theme "Rhythms of Spring".

The meticulously staged art program featured many outstanding singing, dancing, and musical performances praising the Communist Party of Vietnam , the beloved President Ho Chi Minh, the homeland, the country, and the development achievements of Lai Chau province over the past year.

The art program showcases the spirit of unity among the people of all ethnic groups in the province.

The program to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026 is a meaningful cultural and political activity that contributes to encouraging and motivating cadres, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups in the province to continue to uphold the tradition of unity and solidarity, and to resolutely achieve the goals and tasks of socio-economic development in 2026.

The program was also attended by the armed forces in the province.

The participation of teenagers and children, with their songs dedicated to the Party and beloved Uncle Ho, welcomes the new spring season.

The artistic performances at the program demonstrated the close bond between the military and the people.

A large number of people from various ethnic groups in the province watched the art program.

Following the artistic performance, a fireworks display took place on New Year's Eve. This was also the most anticipated event of the evening. The dazzling fireworks created a joyful atmosphere, marking the transition between the old and new year, conveying the faith and expectations of the Party Committee, Government, and people of all ethnic groups in the province for a new year of peace, prosperity, and new victories!
